AMERICAN HUMANICS SEMINAR: The American Humanics Student Association will present a seminar dealing with "Program Marketing” of voluntary youth organizations at 6:15 p.m. in Room 228, MSC. Adrian Moody will deal with determining the target public of voluntary youth organizations, as well as methods and techniques of reaching this public. Anyone who is interested is welcome. TAU BETA PI: Pictures for the Aggieland will be taken at 6:15 p.m. in Zachry. ASME: Jim Lewis will speak on "The Technical Aspects of Engineer ing” at 7:30 p.m. in Room 102, Zachry. Scholarship ‘79 class gift is The senior class at Texas A&M University is planning to leave lit school a different type of gift than most senior classes. TheClassofi! is going to fund a President’s Endowed Scholarship. Donald Rohel, class adviser, said the class has already raised about $11,000. Christmas card sales and a welcome-back dance are just hit of the activities they have sponsored since their sophomore year. Dec. 9 the class will sponsor a Christmas formal to raise more monei for the fund. An additional source of money will come from dorm room said Buck Weirus, executive director of the Association of Formei Students. Seniors were sent letters requesting they contributetbeii dorm room deposits or their property deposit. The amount needed for a scholarship is $25,000, said R.M. head of the Student Financial Aid Office. When this amount collected, the money will be given to the University and invested certificate. From the 6 percent interest generated, a perpetual schol arship is established. The interest gained from the initial enough to sustain the next recipient. Every five years an incoming freshman will be designated asi Class of’79 scholar. The student will receive $1,500 every yearfci four years. Recipients of the scholarships are nominated by their high school principal during their junior year. These nominations are sent to Texas A&M and the scholarship committee of the Univenity selecti the recipients.
