what’s up? Thursday GREAT ISSUES: Dr. Bubser, Dr. Costa and Dr. Barszap will speak on “Human Rights in Eastern Europe, Spain and Germany.” Drs. Bubser, Costa and Barszap of the Texas A&M Modern Languages Department will present an in-depth overview of European human rights, sharing their views on human freedoms and obliga tions. They will speak at noon in room 701, Rudder Tower. HUMAN FACTORS CLUB: Will have an organizational meeting at 7 p.m. in room 139, MSC. CEPHEID VARIABLE: “The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad,” which tells of the search by Sinbad for a beautiful princess and the many fearsome creatures he has to battle before he can rescue, will be shown at 8 & 10 p.m. in the Basement Coffeehouse. Price is 50c. OUTDOOR REC: Speakers Dr. Bury and John Schwartz will give a seminar on canoeing at 7:30 p.m. in room 401, Rudder Tower. ALPHA ZETA: Any Agriculture student with 45 credit hours or ag riculture transfer student with 30 credit hours at Texas A&M and a GPR of 2.8 or above who is interested in joining Alpha Zeta should meet in HECC room 108 at 7 p.m. Alpha Zeta is a national agricul ture honor fraternity. VOLLEYBALL: The women’s team will travel to Provo, Utah, for the Brigham Young Tournament, today through Saturday. GOLF: The men’s team will play at Walden Intercollegiate in Con roe, today and Friday. CROSS COUNTRY: The men’s team will go to the Baylor Invita tional in Waco at 7 p.m. Friday BASEMENT COFFEEHOUSE: Will be open Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. until midnight. AGGIE CINEMA: “The Spy Who Loved Me," starring Roger Moore as the famed 007 who sets out to stop a plot to capture the world’s nuclear submarines will be shown at 8 p.m. in Rudder Au ditorium. FORMER SINGING CADETS: The Association of Former Singing Cadets will have a get-together this weekend. Registration will be at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the Aggieland Inn. MIDNIGHT MOVIE: “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” a Python version of the legend of King Arthur and the search for the Holy Grail will be shown in Rudder Auditorium. VICEROY $22" REDBBIE UH center funds audited; no indictments anticipated United Press International HOUSTON — A Harris County grand jury reviewing the investiga tion into $29,000 missing from the University of Houston Continuing Education Center has returned no indictments. Assistant District Attorney Ross Rommel said “no indictments were sought” by this special crimes bureau. “There will be no indictments in this case,” Rommel said Tuesday. “They (the grand jury) returned no indictments and none are antici pated.” Although numerous bank records were subpoenaed during the inves tigation, Rommel refused to com- wrongdoing ment on whether any criminal wrongdoing had been discovered or what happened to the money. “I just can’t give you an answer on that,” Rommel said. Rommel refused to comment on whether the investigation had touched on the death of George Young, the center’s assistant dean and assistant professor. Young’s death was ruled a suicide on June 14.
