HOUSTON

from $1.07 million in gifts *
Lunch time in the patio of our La Rojeha distillery.
When our workers sit down to lunch
they sit down to a tradition.
When they make Cuervo Gold
it’s the same.
Every day at just about eleven the reives from Tequila
arrive at the Cuervo distillery bearing their husbands 1
lunches.
Lunches that have been lovingly prepared in the
same proud manner since men first began working here
in 1795,
It is this same pride in a job well-done that makes
Cuervo Gold truly special. Any way you-drink it, Cuervo
Gold will bring you back to a time ivhen quality ruled
the world.

Private contributions and pledges
to Texas A&M University’s Center
for Education and Research in Free
Enterprise now total more than $1
million, announced Robert L.
Walker, vice president for de
velopment.
A $100,000 endowment from Mr.
and Mrs. T. B. “Brockett ’ Hudson
of Houston and five grants totaling
$22,200 have been recieved by the
one-year-old center.
Walker said the center now has
commitments for $1.07 million from
individuals, foundations and corpo
rations.
Hudson, president and founder of
Southwest Chemical Services Inc.
of Houston, said the gift represents
the couple’s concern that public ig
norance will destroy free enterprise
in the United States.
“We’ve been worried for some
time about free enterprise,” Hud
son said. “The public has a misun
derstanding about our basic indi
vidual freedoms and respon
sibilities. We believe in private in
dustry, open competition and
minimum governmental controls.”
Other recent gifts include:
— $10,000 from John V. James of
Dallas, chairman of the board, prei
ident and chief executive of
Dresser Industries Inc.
— $5,000 from Dave Fox of

Hours For Summer Steak Fry Awards
For all you summer sportsters, the recreational facilities will be
open during both summer sessions. Come on out and use them —
that’s what they are there for. Here are the hours they’ll be open.
Of all the people who work hard all year round, a few work just a
little harder than the rest. That’s what the Steak Fry is all about — to
honor those dedicated persons.

Tim McCarthy takes aim for an attempt to score during last
week’s playoffs of innertube water polo. Tim should come by
the Intramural Office in DeWare Fieldhouse to receive his
free “Be Our Guest” card from McDonald’s.
At this writing not all of the

have been played. We do have
some winners and the finalists.
Here are the names of both. Con
