B My main qualification for yell leader is that I am an Aggie and I have a great amount of Aggie Spirit. I am also a sports nut. I love to go to athletic events and support A&M teams. My qualification for this office is that I am an Aggie determined to represent, lead, and unite the Aggie Spirit. Representing the 12th Man this past year as junior yell leader I experienced new views and ideas brought forth to Aggie Spirit and traditions. Already aquainted with these new ideas in the role of a yell leader I will be experienced enough to make the right decisions. A whole lot of that Fightin’ Texas Aggie Spirit, and no inhibitions about showing that spirit, and an ability and willingness to talk to others. Is there a problem of too many athletic events? What alternatives or solutions should be used when yell leaders can’t attend a sporting event? I have a deep love and respect for Texas A&M. I feel that for a position like yell leader, those are the major qualifications necessary. A yell leader must be willing to offer his time and every ounce of his spirit to inspire the 12th Man, for the 12th Man is what sets A&M apart from other schools. I have the time, and I have a whole lot of Aggie Spirit. I am a dedicated, loyal and sin cere Aggie with a spirit aimed to ward uniting the entire Student Body regardless of their affiliations. I feel strongly about the fine Aggie traditions and constantly strive to uphold them as I would hope all Ag gies do. I am presently involved in organizations such as the Corps Color Guard, Wings and Sabers, the- committee on March to the Brazos (see SHANKUN, page 9) Ted Totah Crandell Junior Yell Leader name: Mark Crandell age: 19 classification: sophomore major: Business hometown: Houston What are your qualifications for this office? The honest simple dedication it takes to hold the office of yell leader. Is there a problem of too many athletic events? What alternatives or solutions should be used when yell leaders can’t attend a sporting event? No. I feel all sports are beneficial to all involved in them and also to those who are not. I was in the Corps my freshman year. Now I live in Crocker Hall. I have been exposed to both forms of campus life and feel I am qualified to represent both sides equally. First and foremost is my burning desire and visible enthusiasm in Texas A&M and the 12th Man Spirit. At Texas A&M I have par ticipated in many diverse activities such as student government, in tramural sports, dorm judicial board chairman, and Brazos Valley Parachute Club safety officer.
