Review set to honor Teague
Retiring congressman Olin E.
“Tiger” Teague will be honored
Saturday at Texas A&M Univer
sity by the Corps of Cadets in its
Military Day review.
Teague was a member of the
Aggie Coips during 1928-32. He
was Company “G” commanding
officer and first sergeant as a
senior and junior.
The midday review will be one
of the highlights of Military
Weekend, a regular Texas A&M
observance.
Formation of a block “T” on
the Memorial Student Center
drill field will precede Corps
units passing the review for
Teague. The “T”, at one time a
once-a-season fixture of Aggie
football games, will be formed by
the entire Corps, saicLCol. James
R. Woodall, commandant. It also
will feature Parsons Mounted
Cavalry in an “A” and “M” flank
ing the stem 6f the “T.” The mas
sed Corps formation was last
used on Military Day 1974.
Adjutant’s call for the “T” and
review is at 11:15 a. m. The re
view, with Teague heading the
reviewing line, will start at about
12 noon.
Teague announced recently
that he will not seek District 6
re-election to the U.S. House of
Representatives, in which he has
served 32 years. Recurrence of
problems with wounds received
in World War II was among fac
tors leading to the lawmaker’s re
tirement. He is known na
tionwide for his congressional
leadership in Veterans Affairs
and Science and Technology
committees.
Military weekend will also in
volve Friday and Saturday
dances and the 3 p.m. Elephant
Bowl football game. The latter
matches Air Force and Army-
Navy-Marine Corps squads in a
charity benefit with proceeds
going to the Brazos County
United Fund.
The Friday Combat Ball will
begin at 9 p.m. in Duncan Din
ing Hall with music by Dennis
Ivey and the Waymen. It follows
a Town Hall performance by
Crystal Gayle.
The formal Military Ball on
Saturday will be at 8 p.rn. in the
Rudder Center.

2 months, unlimited Second Class train travel, 15 countries, $250.
Check it out. A Eurail Youthpass is a super deal; the best and cheapest way to see
a lot of the Continent. Trains are fast, comfortable, frequent. And they speed you to the heart of cities.
Stations are like small towns with everything a traveler needs. You meet fellow
backpackers (Europeans, too). You can sleep on board; couchettes are bargains. Your Eurail Youthpass
even covers some ferry, steamer and motorcoach rides. Best of all with the Pass you can stay loose,
park where you like, move on at whim. There’s always another train you can catch.
To get a Eurail Youthpass you have to be under 26. Both Eurail Youthpass and
Eurailpass are sold here through your Travel Agent. You can’t buy them in Europe.
If you’ve less than or more than two months, get a Eurailpass. Same idea but you ride First Class.
Available in two or three-week Passes, or one, two, or three-month Passes.
If you're not about to enlist why not plan to see Europe with a Eurail Youthpass.
No, you won’t have to pass a physical.
