THE BATTALION TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 1978 Page 5 Review set to honor Teague Retiring congressman Olin E. “Tiger” Teague will be honored Saturday at Texas A&M Univer sity by the Corps of Cadets in its Military Day review. Teague was a member of the Aggie Coips during 1928-32. He was Company “G” commanding officer and first sergeant as a senior and junior. The midday review will be one of the highlights of Military Weekend, a regular Texas A&M observance. Formation of a block “T” on the Memorial Student Center drill field will precede Corps units passing the review for Teague. The “T”, at one time a once-a-season fixture of Aggie football games, will be formed by the entire Corps, saicLCol. James R. Woodall, commandant. It also will feature Parsons Mounted Cavalry in an “A” and “M” flank ing the stem 6f the “T.” The mas sed Corps formation was last used on Military Day 1974. Adjutant’s call for the “T” and review is at 11:15 a. m. The re view, with Teague heading the reviewing line, will start at about 12 noon. Teague announced recently that he will not seek District 6 re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, in which he has served 32 years. Recurrence of problems with wounds received in World War II was among fac tors leading to the lawmaker’s re tirement. He is known na tionwide for his congressional leadership in Veterans Affairs and Science and Technology committees. Military weekend will also in volve Friday and Saturday dances and the 3 p.m. Elephant Bowl football game. The latter matches Air Force and Army- Navy-Marine Corps squads in a charity benefit with proceeds going to the Brazos County United Fund. The Friday Combat Ball will begin at 9 p.m. in Duncan Din ing Hall with music by Dennis Ivey and the Waymen. It follows a Town Hall performance by Crystal Gayle.
