Noberto Espitia, clinic super- The Small Animal Clinic in the Col- visor, said there are three ways to Funeral set today for Lorena Thomas, 20 ‘I Funeral services for Lorena Aim ■homaS, 20, Of" lb03 Madera Circle «in College Station are set for 2 p.m. jlxlay at A&M Church of Christ with B)an Warden and Bob Davidson of- ■ciating. ’I Burial will be in College Station Bemetery under direction of illemorial Funeral Chapel. I Thomas died in an Austin hospital jiuesclay afternoon following a one- ilehicle accident on U.S. 290 25 Biiles east of Austin. i| Injured in the accident were Gail Blullinix, 21, of 3400 Sandra Drive jin Bryan ail O' C'arol Oden, 21, of Ikbilene. h The women were not seriousK in jured and were released from an Bustin hosnital Tuesday. Mullinix attended Texas AtkM University in 1977 and graduated from the Church of Christ School of Evangelism. Oden is a graduate student in education at Texas A&M. Thomas attended Texas A&M in 1976 and 1977, and she was enrolled in Blinn College at the time of her. death. She was born June 5, 1957,• in Bryan and was elected Miss Con solidated High School as well as Homecoming Queen for A&M Con solidated High School. She was a member of A&M Church of Christ. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs..'William B. Thomas, and a brother, Michael Thomas, all. of College Station. get an animal admitted to the clinic: by appointment, referral or emergency. Appointments are made for routine work such as, worming and vaccinations, said Espitia. These are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. The clinic is open from noon Friday to 8 a.m. Monday for emergencies. Espitia said referral is for those persons who live outside the Bryan-College Station area. A veter inarian must call to refer the animal. The veterinary has to give the ani mal’s history, tell what was done for the animal, and why the animal is being sent. The reason an animal outside the Bryan-College Station area has to be referred is because rates are lower at the vet school, said Espitia. Other veterinarians might complain if they lose too much business to the school. Teaching discounts may be given if the animal is used in lecture at the vet school. The owner must give his approval before this is done. If not approved the animal will not be used and no discount will be re ceived. The amount of the discount is at the discretion of the veterinar ian. If an animal is brought in during regular hours, there is a standard fee of $5. This standard fee is not charged if the animal is in for vac cinations. If the animal is brought in after hours, there is an emergency fee of SI5. “Records are kept on every ani mal brought here regardless of what is done to it, Espitia said. The cases are treated similar to those in a pri vate hospital. There is always a senior member of the faculty on duty, Espitia said. There are also interns and residents on duty. Each doctor has about five third-year students assigned to him. The animals are treated by the doctors working with the students. Most of the surgery is done by the students under supervision of a doc tor. These third year students feed and treat the animals. A staff member cleans the cages. Espitia said most of the work is done on cash basis. Credit is not available under $100 unless ar rangements are made in advance. m /upTnam&a UNIVFBMTY SQtJ ^ E SH0P p CINEMA jflUEAK CllAjfJf Precision haircutting for men and women 209 E.
