Gotcha!
Illegal parking is sometimes eonvenient.
Other times it can be a pain in the hubcap.
University Police immobilized this car by the
MSC with a rhino clamp Tuesday. To get the
clamp removed, the owner must contact the
police and, in all likelihood, pay a fine.

Majority and minority opinions
on Judicial Board proceedings that
struck down the office of Student
Government comptroller two weeks
ago were released Tuesday.
The 5-4 decision eliminated the
position of comptroller, which was
placed under the executive branch
to handle bookkeeping for the Stu
dent Government. Under the bill,
the vice president for finance would

Since the bill was overturned, the
vice president for finance still dis
burses Student Government funds.
The four-page minority report
quotes the Texas A&M University
Student Body Constitution as the
basis for its decision and approved
the bill.
“It is the opinion of the minority
of the Judicial Board ... that the rul
ing of the board should be made in
accordance with the ... constitution
for the Student Body of Texas A&M
University,” the opinion states.
“Since the actual spending of Stu
dent Government money is execu
tion of legislation, it is the duty of
the Student Body president to do
so.”
William Griffin, author of the
opinion, suggested to future J-board
members that they “think beyond
