Water polo teams do well in tournaments By DAVID BOGGAN Both the Texas A&M men’s and vomens Water polo teams played in annulments last weekend. R Fosdiek played his inexperienced players during much of the Loyola Invitational. “We didn’t play our starting team that much,” he said. “The purpose of the tournament was to give the players game time.” Fosdiek said that inexperience is a problem of the women’s water polo team also. In the Women’s Southwest Water Polo Championship Tournament last weekend, the Aggies took sec ond place. The University of Arizona A team finished in first place and the University of Arizona B team took third place. In the finals the Aggies were de feated by the University of Arizona A team by a score of 11-9. For A&M, Cheryl Houghton scored four points, Debbie Starr scored two points and Vicki Brown, Cindy Hal- laran and Jennie Hicks each scored one point. All-Tournament players included Vicki Brown, Shirley Hill, Cheryl Houghton, Ann Ketterer and Deb bie Starr of Texas A&M, Pam Hendricks, Diane Johnson, Steph Minton and Sue Sheehan of the University of Arizona A team, and Linda Stanford of Alamo Heights. The men’s team plays Lamar at 7:30 and Bice at 8:30 tonight in P. L. Downs Natatorium.
