Bride’s dad ushers her to court d ini'* wkfl —»ul* - y* —yK- V United Press International HAYS, Kan. — Mr. and Mrs. iwrence Weilert oppose the wed- ngof their daughter Ruth, 20, and D. Miller, 21, and they want eryone to know about it. The Weilerts filed a $10,000 suit ainst their daughter and her hi re mother-in-law, Mrs. James Her, but it is not likely to come to urt until after the wedding leduled for Saturday. The suit was filed because the eilerts’ names were on the wed ding invitations despite their objec tions. Also, Weilert never received an invitation list so he could explain to his friends why his and his wife’s names were included against their wishes. A hearing was set for Wednesday, but all of those involved failed to appear so no immediate action was taken. A deputy has been unable to lo cate the daughter to serve a sum mons and it is “almost impossible” the hearing can he held before the wedding. Weilert said his daughter and Mrs. Miller had agreed earlier not to include the Weilerts’ names on the invitations. “I wanted to teach them a les son,” he said. “Right is right, wrong is wrong, and love comes third if that is what it is.” In addition to the $10,000 dam ages, the Weilerts have asked the court to order their daughter and Mrs. Miller to notify everyone re ceiving an invitation that the Weilerts’ names should not be in cluded. “My wife and I haven’t consented to the marriage and didn’t really know about it until last week,’ Weilert said. However, Weilert, father of 12, said he realized the wedding was going to happen. “If they had gone about it the right way, I told them I would pay $1,000 of the maniage, send them to college and pay all their expenses on a house and groceries and buy them a car.” he said.
