ATTORNEYS defending oil
millionaire T. Cullen Davis,
have claimed misuse of the grand
jury system. Davis is charged
with killing his stepdaughter.
The attorneys’ accusation was a
result of new grand jury indict
ments charging Davis with
wounding his wife and family
friend. The indictments were
handed down a week before his
trials. Attorneys claim the new
indictments on the eve of the
trial were an attempt to preju
dice the jurors.

THE AVERAGE refund sent
to taxpayers who already have
filed 1976 returns was $456.34,
said the Internal Revenue Serv
ice yesterday. It’s the highest
ever and probably will climb
even more before all returns are
processed. However, this year’s
error rate is alarming the IRS,
for after processing 1.8 million
returns at the 10 regional service
centers, they found one in every
10 early filers made mistakes.
A DESIRE to establish nor
mal relations between the
United States and all nations,
especially Angola, Cuba and
Vietnam, was expressed by Pres
ident Carter in one of his fullest
discussions of U.S. relations to
ward hostile nations yesterday.
Carter says Cuba’s reported
willingness to withdraw troops
from Angola is a step toward that
goal.

group, announced that a “Truth
in Menu” campaign will begin
next week to make sure custom

President Henry Montague. For
example, menus may mislead by
using commonly accepted
generic terms like Coca-Cola for
any kind of cola, butter for mar

ALMOST a third of the food

fraudulently obtained, then used
to buy anything from guns and
booze to sex, said investigators
yesterday. State Attorney Joseph
D’Alessandro said in Fort Myers
that investigations in South
Florida indicated “fraud is in

Excerpts from Audio Magazine “Equipment Profiles” (December, 1976 Issue):
“At mid frequencies, the KA-3500 delivered 45.3 watts per channel before reaching its rated THD level of 0.2 per cent.
At 40 watts per channel output into 8 ohms, THD measured a low 0.043 per cent THD and 0.075 per cent IM. Control
action (is) smooth and repeatable, rivaling that of many more costly integrated amplifiers.”
