TAMILI Miller scores hole-in-one Associated Press NAPA, Calif.—With his parents looking on from the front lawn of his home, Johnny Miller scored a hole- in-one and strolled to a course- record, nine-under-par 63 in the first-round lead Thursday in the $175,000 Kaiser International Open Golf Tournament. Miller, who has won this tourna ment the last two years, started from the 10th tee on the North Course of the Silverado Country Club and scored his ace with a four-iron shot on the 182-yard 11th hole. Miller’s home is located between the 10th green and the 11th tee, and his parents were watching when he Su iitm and' made his second hole-in-one in| ppe last three years in this tournamep 010. The Texas A&M Women’s Rugby team won its first game 20-0 easily defeating the Dallas Women’s Rugby team. The five attempts, similar to a touchdown in football, were scored by Adell Thomas, Sandy Chandler, Mary Spidel, Norine Harris and Lea Anderson. Each at tempt counts four points which the player receives after she runs across the goal line and places the ball on the ground. Three of the women’s scoring plays came in the first half with the remaining two wrapping up the game in the second half. Player-coach Kathi Chappell was excited with the win and predicted a national championship for the team this year. The team had a 9-2-1 sea son record last year which is impress ive considering the team formed in January 1976. Chappell said Saturday’s st* were outstanding. “Adell is small, mean andagp sive.
