Reuther’s eyes were sparkling last Friday when head coach Shelby Metcalf announced the signing of Bryan Holland of Richardson to a letter-of-intent to attend A&M. “I think A&M is the greatest school in the world, I wouldn’t even think of playing for any other school so when it came time for me to sign there was no doubt as to who I was going to sign with, I didn’t even consider anyone else,” Holland ad ded. “He plays with reckless aban don,” Reuther said. “He is the real emotional type, the type that gets very emotional during the game. It wouldn’t do to have five like him on the floor, but you’ve got to have one or two. He can really turn a game around for you. ” The more Reuther talked the more he sparkled, “The thing that caught our eye about Holland was his extreme aggressiveness.” Holland, 6-6, has a list of ac complishments to justify Reuther’s excitement. During his sophomore year he was Sophomore of the Year in dis trict 8 AAAA for district champion Richardson. In his junior year he was the team captain, made all tournament at the R. L. Turner Tournament and all-district. In his senior year he was once again all-district, district Most Val uable Player, MVP of the Dallas Kimball Classic, team captain, All-Metro for the Dallas area and a Blue Chipper as voted by South west Conference coaches. In his senior year Holland aver aged 21 points and 15 rebounds a game while hitting 58 per cent of his shots from the field. Holland seemed as excited about signing with the Aggies as the Ag gies did about signing him. “Ever since I started playing bas ketball I wanted to play at A&M,” Holland said. “We’ve got a great bunch of players here at A&M, and I know we re going to win.” All-Star game on tap Friday Bill Ball, the number two fullback "on the Southern Methodist Univer : sity football team last year, has de cided to give up the sport. Ball, from Matairie Louisiana, has decided to give up his final year of football for school work according to SMU school officials. “I lost interest in playing foot ball,” Ball said. “My schooling is more important to me of late. ’ SGASOH TICKETS 1975-76 Ticket Prices Town Hall Young Artists Series A&M Student w/activity card $ 7 00 Non A&M Student Date $ 9 00 General Public $ 16 00 A&M Students w/activity ca Other Students — .
