Stark has become associate director of the Center for Community Education at A&M. He also serves as visiting lec turer in the Educational Admin istration Department, announced Dr. Harold L. Hawkins, head. Stark, formerly of Ohio, began duties July 1. He assists Dr. Robert Berridge in operation of the Community Education Center and teaches off- campus. The A&M Center serves as a three-state focal point of com munity education, through which school districts organize programs of community-wide involvement. Stark, 29, has had seven years of community education experi ence in Springfield, Ohio. He held positions as principal, community education coordinator and direc tor of community education. Un der his guidance, the Springfield project grew from three to 21 schools. Stark has just completed a one- year Community Education Fel lowship in Flint, Mich. The former Texarkana, Texas, teacher and coach graduated from Morehead State University in 1967. His M.A. is from Ball State. Stark is candidate for the doctor of education at Western Michigan University. He attended Texarkana Junior College in 1962-64 under athletic scholarship and also studied at Ohio State. /Mate a smart move this summer.
