The College Station studio was designated by A&M’s Convoca tions and Concessions Commit tees. Several area photographers were invited to submit proposals to provide the service. Dr. Haskell Monroe, Convoca tions Committee chairman and as sistant vice president for aca demic affairs, said the committees hoped this new service will be a convenience to the graduate and his family and friends and alle viate distracting conditions when photographers crowd around the platform when diplomas are pre sented. A representative of Barker Stu dio will have a desk in the lobby of the Coke Building during the Honor Society Gets Charter At Ceremony A&M’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, a business administration honor society, will receive its charter at an installation ceremo ny Wednesday. Jesse M. Smith, managing di rector of Beta Gamma Sigma, will make the presentation and address the new members. Beta Gamma Sigma is open to juniors and seniors, and criteria for selection varies. The primary considerations are that seniors must be in the top 10 per cent of the graduating class and jun iors must be in the top five per cent of their class. The purpose of the society is to encourage scholarship among stu dents of business and administra tion, and to promote advance ment and integrity in business operations. Thirty-three students, six fac ulty members and two honorary members will be initiated into Beta Gamma Sigma Wednesday at Ramada Inn. Honorary mem bers are James W. Aston and W. Duke Walser. Cyclotron Talk Rescheduled The Cyclotron Institute Collo quium set for April 30 has had a time change due to unforseen conflicts. H. E. Conzett, Lawrence Berk eley Laboratory, will speak “Polarization Experiments at the Berkeley 88 Cyclotron” at 2:30 p.m. April 30. Coffee will be served at 3:15 p.m. following Conzett’s talk, and interested persons are invited to attend. Jim Pusok of Tomball captured two of the top honors during the A&M Saddle and Sirloin Club’s an nual Awards Banquet April 20. Pusok, a senior in the Animal Science Department, won the Jack Estes, Jr., and Meat Laboratory Award as the champion ham sales man. He also received the Workhorse Award as the club’s hardest work ing senior, excepting officers. The Brewer Award went to Dan ny Williams and the Merit Trophy Award to Dennis Crenwelge. Bob Franke, club president, was named winner of the Annour Award as the organization’s out standing senior. The top fi’eshman was Sarah Dahse; sophomores, Helen Martin and Steve Jackson; and junior, Charles Real. Reserve champion ham sale honors went to Lee Ray and Mike Diezi. Joe Behrens won the $500 Southwestern Meat Packers As sociation Scholarship. Another $500 went to Steve Olson, winner of the Houston Meat Industries Association Scholarship. Bruce Rode received the $500 White, Diezi, Hubbell Special Scholarship, and David Graf and Real were selected for the $250 Suppliei's Association of the Southwestem Meat Packers As sociation Scholarship. The Sharon Wilson Memorial Scholarship of $250 was won by Carol Swanson and the Pat H. Cooper Memorial Scholarship of $200 went to Lauri Huskey. Other awards and winners were Robert Dean, Ronnie Patterson Beef Cattle Award; Jeff Saveli, Young Angus Farm Award; Gary Stanford, T. D. Tanksley Swine Award; Bill Brown, Carpenter Swine Award; Steve Mason, Obert Sagebiel Sheep Award; Bert Ne- sloney, Faris Sheep Award; Dale Brandenberger, J. W. Bassett Wool Award; Dailon Smith, Crad dock Wool Award; Mason, L. D. Wythe Award; and Nesloney, W. W. Reed Award. Jimbo Butler was named the champion salesman other than for hams. In the spring judging contest, first place awards went to Neslo ney in the junior division and to Mason in the senior division. Sa veli was first in junior division meats judging, and Dean was tops in the senior division. The awards banquet was fol lowed the next day by the annual Little Southwestern Livestock Show.
