Many important stu dent proposals may be signifi cantly delayed if the new Rules and Regulations Committee chair man must spend half his time learning the job. I trust a rational student body to return Curt Marsh to the Sen ate and to the Rules and Regu lations Committee in Thursday’s run-off. Fred Campbell Senate Rules and Regulations Commit tee Chairman ★ ★ ★ Editor: It is from our deepest concern from the second floor of Krueger Hall residents that we write to support Jeannine Paletta for the position of Social Secretary for next year’s junior class. As resi dents of Krueger Hall, we wish to recognize Jeannine Paletta as an outstanding candidate, capa ble of coping with any situation with reliability and competency. She has had two years experi ence in Student Government and is well-informed of the issues on campus. We are aware of her past experience as Social Secre tary and she has effectively ful filled her position. She has shown an interest in the dorm activities which is recognizable by the fact that she possesses leadership in the Student Gov ernment. We appeal to Mr. Singleton’s and Mr. Tiner’s supporters to cast their votes for Jeannine Pa letta in the run-offs Thursday. Brad Bryant Barry Brooks Gary Bradley Joe duMenil Tom Horton Robert Cosentino ★ ★ ★ Editor: In the past week, this column has become more and more a political forum. This is not a letter of condemnation, but one of information. We feel that one aspect of one of our esteemed vice-presidential candidate’s rec ord has been left in the dark. It is understandable that Shariq Yosufzai would want to suppress this fact. It just might give people a different impression of his worthiness as the vice-presi dent of our student body. One of Mr. Yosufzai’s alleged goals of office is to give equal representation to the entire stu dent body. This is fine sounding on the surface, and we commend his ideas, but his actions speak louder than his words. It is a substantiated fact that the per son in question has not shown the slightest inclination towards this goal as a senator. A person can be fairly certain that when Mr. Yosufzai, Mclnnis - Schu macher senator for ’72-’73, says “I have polled my constituency,” he actually means “I have asked the dorm council of Schumacher hall.” This leaves out at least 50 per cent of his constituency, as he never makes it to Mclnnis hall dorm council meetings at all. much less ask our opinion anything. We, the men of Mclnnis, qj, tion the political integrity someone who would ignore In of the people he has prouij to represent.
