My name is Ty Griesenbeck and
I am a candidate for Treasurer
of the Senate. I have been quite
active this year as senator from
the College of Liberal Arts. I was
a member of the Constitutional
Revision Committee, which was
responsible for the new constitu
tion. I am also on the University
Self-Study program and worked
on the faculty evaluation forms
that were in most classes. As
Treasurer and a member of the
executive committee, I can exert
more influence on legislation.
Also I intend to tighten the con
trol over financial expenditures.
Vote Ty Griesenbeck for Treasur
er of the Senate.
Academic Affair
Bill Hartsfield
(Jr-Math)
My name is Bill Hartsfield and
I am running for Chairman of the
Student Senate Academic Affairs
Committee. During the past year,
I have represented the College of
Science on the senate and have
served as chairman of the Senate
Academic Excellence Committee.
As chairman, I worked to initiate
the Free University, to change
academic regulations, and to es
tablish a direct link with the
University Academic Council. In
addition, other members of my
committee began to work toward
a computerized registration sys
tem that will allow students to
select their professors and class
schedules.
If elected, I will work to ex
pand the Free University, to ini
tiate a pilot program for a pub
lished student evaluation of pro
fessors and courses and to estab
lish an effective system whereby
students can communicate their
dissatisfaction with a professor
to the proper administrator.
I will appreciate your vote for
me, Bill Hartsfield, for Chairman
of the senate Academic Affairs
Committee.

I am running for chairman of
Student Services Committee,
which deals with any service to
the student.
Specific projects I would like
to work on are shuttle bus, co
op book store and another radio
station. I feel the answer to the
parking problem is to use a
shuttle bus. A co-op book store
will prevent the high mark-up
on books and College Station
needs a new radio station, pos

I feel qualified because I have
