During the past year, I have represented the College of Science on the senate and have served as chairman of the Senate Academic Excellence Committee. As chairman, I worked to initiate the Free University, to change academic regulations, and to es tablish a direct link with the University Academic Council. In addition, other members of my committee began to work toward a computerized registration sys tem that will allow students to select their professors and class schedules. If elected, I will work to ex pand the Free University, to ini tiate a pilot program for a pub lished student evaluation of pro fessors and courses and to estab lish an effective system whereby students can communicate their dissatisfaction with a professor to the proper administrator.
