It’s a big world in finding the best person for the job and the right job for the person is quite a task. Without employment agen cies, the time and effort involved for both the employers and pros pective employees could be diffi cult and prolonged. The function of an employment agency is two fold. 1. To asertain a job seeker’s capabilities so that his search for employment is as brief and fruit ful as possible. 2. To pre-screen applicants so that the busy employer need not waste valuable time interviewing any but the people best qualified for the position he wishes to fill. Rollie White. The victory gave the Frogs un disputed lead in the Southwest Conference with a 6-1 mark while Baylor and Rice trail at 5-2. Rice beat the Bears Saturday night, 72-71, to keep the heavily favored Bruins from staying in first place. The Aggies are now 8-9 for the year and fell to a 3-4 conference slate with their third loss in their last four games. Doug Boyd, the 6-8 pivot-man for TCU was kept under wraps for most of the first half but he played inspired basketball in the final half to pace the Frogs with 20 points and 13 rebounds. The big surprise in the Frog attack came in the form of Norm Win- termeyer, a 6-5 styuior transfer, who hit on eight of 12 from the field and finished with 21 points to lead all scorers. A&M went to work early in the game with Pat Kavanagh leading when Boyd picked up his third foul with 14:49 left. Twice he drove for beautiful lay ups to boost the Aggies’ lead, which would ultimately reach 11. But the pace slowed somewhat when Kavanagh picked up his third foul and TCU started their comeback with a full court press, which, although it didn’t stop A&M, definitely bothered them enough to make the game inter esting. Bill Cooksey’s fine out side shooting performance was not enough to stop the Frog es calation march as they charged back to trail only 40-39 at the break. TCU came right back out in the press and, coupled, with a hot-shooting and rebounding per formance by Boyd, they shot ahead for the first time. The only thing keeping them from pulling ahead even more was their ques tionable free throw shooting be cause the Aggies, with the ex ception of Kavanagh, were hav ing their own problems finding the bucket. Kavanagh and Boyd put on a scoring exhibition exchanging baskets for about a three minute span and then it happened. A&M could not find the hoop and the Frogs took advantage by miss ing sparingly. They ran off 19 points to two for the Aggies in about a five-minute span to go from a 63-60 lead to a 78-62 bulge. Nothing went right and Aggie coach Shelby Metcalf pro tested a call against A&M and Frog Jeff Harp sunk three tech nical foul shots to give TCU some extra padding. From there the Frogs spent much of the game shooting free throws with the Aggies forced to fool trying to get the ball.
