What well could be the title-
deciding match in SWC golf for
1969 is on tap here Saturday
when the Texas Longhorns and
Texas Aggies tangle at A&M’s
on-campus course.
Coach Henry Ransom’s Aggies
currently held a two-point lead
over Texas in the SWC stand
ings. The Aggies are 21-3 and
Texas is 19-6.
The Saturday match begins at
1 p.m.
Aggie players will be Reggie
Majors, Duke Butler, Richard
Ellis and Bill Wade. That four
some last week won the team
four-ball title in the All-America
Intercollegiate tournament in
Houston.
Texas’ foursome includes Chip
Stewart, Rik Massengale, Dean
Overturf, and Tom Kite. That
group finished second, one shot
behind Houston, in the team
medal division of the All-Ameri
ca tournament.
A big win Saturday could vault
the Aggies into a strong position
to win their sixth title in the
1960’s. A&M won in 1960, 61, 62,
63 and 67.
But, both A&M and Texas have
two more matches after Satur
day.
The Aggies have Baylor here
next Tuesday and then go to TCU
on Friday, May 2.

Just when
you understand
how to buy a car,
along comes a
new-fangled notion:
Chevway.
Chevway offers you a new way to enjoy a Chevrolet —
by leasing! This could be your year to check it out.
Just see your Chevway/Chevrolet dealer. We’re the
dealer who both leases and sells new Chevrolets. So
we can be objective about leasing...we can tell you
what it offers —in conserving capital, possible tax
advantages, even giving you more luxury than before.
Maybe leasing is for you. Ask the dealer who now
has more than one way to put you in a new Chevrolet.

BREAKS OF GAME
Dave Sgrignoli, a 14-year-old from Harrisburg, Pennsyl
vania, poses with the root of his troubles, a basketball.
Last month while leaping for a rebound in a junior high
game, he was accidentally bumped and fell to the floor
fracturing a bone in each arm. Three weeks later at a local
playground he decided to shoot some baskets with both
arms in casts. While leaping for a shot, he came down
landing one foot in a hole breaking a bone in his left foot.

Drysdale Talks
Of Retirement
LOS ANGELES <A>) — Don
Drysdale, the iron-man of the
Los Angeles pitching staff, says
he’s thinking of retirement be
cause of an ailing shoulder.
But a Dodger vice president,
A1 Campanis, said Wednesday
after the towering right-hander
was shelled off the mound by San
Francisco the night before, “I
think it was the immediate reac
tion by Don after losing a tough
ball game.”
A disconsolate Don, whose 205
victories is an all-time Dodger
record, said in the locker room
after being charged with the 6-0
loss:
