Scott nnounced this week. Scott, head of the Police Train- ng Division here, said the semi- ar-type program is “designed for 11 judges and officers" interested a the specific subject material to )e presented. It is sponsored by the Texas Jngineering Extension Service. Sessions will be held in the Memo rial Student Center from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Scott pointed out the annual school will feature several top personalities in law enforcement. Speakers and their topics include: Carol Vance, Harris County listrict attorney, misdemeanor md felony bonds. John Forbes, JP, Arlington, jury trial procedures in criminal and civil cases in justice court. JOE B. BROWN JR., JP, Dallas, new laws on landlord and tenant (forcible detainers). Bill McConnell, Texas Depart ment of Public Safety, Fort Worth, new driver license law. Jim Bundage, Texas Liquor Control Board, Bryan, the con stable in enforcement of Texas Liquor Control Act. Judge B. H. Dewey Jr., Bryan, JP civil powers duties and pro cedures. Norman Suarez, general coun sel, Texas Department of Public Safety, Austin, police demand order—Motor Vehicle Inspection. He called attention to two new laws on driver licensing and land lord-tenant relationships, often processed by the justice court on a local basis. Participation will be by pre- registration, Scott said. Electronics Grads To Get Diplomas Graduation ceremonies are planned Friday for 14 students of A&M’s Institute of Electronic Science. The institute, a function of the Engineering Extension Service, will present diplomas at 7:30 p.m. in special Memorial Student Center services. A. D. Patton, head of the Institute and a former faculty member of the Cyclotron Insti tute, said the students are com pleting 18 months in resident training at its Research Annex facilities. Alston A. Morgan, commence ment speaker for the graduating class, will speak on “Without Vision, There Is No Hope.” Mor gan, an award winning journalist and photographer, is special events editor of A&M’s Depart ment of Information and Publica tions.
