Kunkel, named two of three as sociate deans here today in a re organization program which he said will emphasize the “team” concept in all future activities of the college. John E. Hutchison, now director of the Texas Agriculture Exten sion Service, will he associate dean and director of that agency. Dr. R. C. Potts, currently as sistant dean of agriculture, will be associate dean for resident in struction. The third man, who will be as sociate dean and director of the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, has not yet been selected. Agricultural Advisory Committee. In commenting on the new ap pointments, Rudder said that the dean will be responsible for all of the functions of the college. Lines of administrative action will flow through the associate deans to department heads, Experiment Station field units, and the Ex tension Service staff. Kunkel first announced the new appointments during a dinner here Friday night held in his honor by A&M President Earl Rudder and the A&M System Board of Direct tors. FRIDAY Engineer Confab Expects 500 A conference on engineering education may attract 500 engine ering deans, department heads and teachers to Texas A&M Thursday through Saturday. More than 50 papers will be heard in 14 general and special sessions of the Gulf-Southwest Section meeting of the American Society for Engineering Educa tion. Donald A. MacArthur, deputy director for research and engine ering in the Department of De fense, will be featured speaker at a Friday banquet in the Me morial Student Center. MacArthur’s office has respon sibility for the Department of Defense's Project Themis pro grams to establish centers of ex cellence in universities over the nation. Texas A&M participates in two Project Themis programs. At a “Relations With Industry” dinner meeting in the Ramada Inn, Robert E..
