Coed Enrollment Shows Increase Coed enrollment this semester is up 60 per cent over the 1966 spring semester. The 628 women attending classes now account for only 6.4 per cent of the total enrollment, Registrar Office figures show. The ratio of men to women stu dents is 16-to-l. The present semester female enrollment is 17 per cent higher than the fall semester, when a record 10,700 students were en rolled. There were 539 women in class at A&M last semester and 392 during spring, 1966. Women attending A&M include relatives of faculty-staff and stu dents and special enrollees. New Architecture Librarian Announced By Library Chief A widely traveled and educat ed librarian, artist, linguist and writer, Mrs. Albert Jadot, has been appointed architecture li brarian at Texas A&M, an nounced Dr. James P. Dyke, Cush ing Library director. Mrs. Jadot came to A&M March 15 from UNESCO Head quarters in Paris, where she served with the education depart ment and library division. At UNESCO, she was major editor of “International Guide to Educational Documentation, 1955- 60.” A graduate of Mount Holyoke College where she majored in art, Mrs. Jadot also holds a degree in library science from McGill Uni versity and a masters from the Middlebury School of France. In addition, she has earned the Diplome des Hautes-Etudes at the University of Toulouse and the Certificat d’ Etudes Fran- caises at the University of Gre noble. The architecture librarian has led a varied career. She first served as a French instructor at Ward Belmont College in Nash ville, Tenn. During World War II, she was a translator with the Free French Army and later served, with the Army Air Force instructing ca det units. Before joining UNES CO, Mrs. Jadot was an account ant with the office of the Foreign Liqiudation Commissioner. Assignments have taken the Williamstown, Mass.-born educa tor to every part of the world. She is personally familiar with Europe and has traveled in the Balkans, India, Africa and the Caribbean. She speaks fluent French and is familiar with Ser bo-Croatian, Spanish and German. Mrs. Jadot’s interests fit her background. Hobbies include swimming, travel, arts and crafts of the Balkan Countries and mak ing and viewing tapestries.
