Bay lor scored twice, capitalizing on a pass interception and an Aggie fumble on the A&M 30. Name Street City Zone State With 1:56 left in the contest, Baylor threatened again. Bear halfback George Cheshire caught a Southall pass and broke loose from Aggie defenders. Tackle Harvey Aschenbeck displayed the spirit of the entire Aggie squad on this play. Aschenbeck was one of the men who missed Cheshire near the line if scrimmage. He hid his red face and started down- field after the Baylor sprinter. Aschenbeck, a 210-pound tackle, was the last man with a chance at Cheshire when he caught the back from behind on the Aggie 35. The Aggies’ Moorman ended the Baylor drive with 36 seconds left on the clock. Normally an offensive player, Moorman had been on defense only two plays during this Bear march. Moor man burst through the Baylor line on fourth-and-nine and threw Southall for a nine-yard loss and the Aggies won.
