A student manager ran into the coach's office and told him about the incident. “Well, just round up all the student trainers and manager and go and capture it because we have to be on the field to loosen up in a few minutes,” the coach said. That’s how S. M. (Monk) Meeks explained the job of the Texas Aggie student trainers and managers. “They are ex pected to do everything,” Meeks said. Meeks is the chief ramrod of the manager and Billy Pick ard handles the trainers. “During two-a-day drills as we have had this fall, we put in about 10-12 hours of work a day,” said J. P. Ellis, the senior member of the manager corjps. Ellis, Bob Coward, Bob Trott and Dennis Tewell are the only ones who get any aid for school ing. Ellis gets a full scholarship and the others get half a schol arship. Besides the four who get the scholarships, other student train ers and managers are Berry Watson, Larry Jordan, Rick Rickman, Dale Stout, Tito Guer rero, E. J.
