Grant To Aid
Educational TV
Texas A&M received a federal
grant Tuesday to finance 20 in
dividual television study booths.
The $29,070 from the Depart
ment of Health, Education and
Welfare will be matched by funds
from state and local sources.
Equipment purchases include
eight-inch video-tape monitors
for each booth and switching
equipment.
The new television study car-
rells will permit students to
“make up” lectures or review ma
terial available on video tape.

housed in the Cushing Library.

Wins Scholarship
Franklin H. Roberts Jr. won a
$1,000 scholarship in the ninth
annual Koppers Company Design
Competition recently.
One of eight awarded, the
scholarship will assist the senior
architecture major from Dallas to
continue his education. Roberts
won for his design of a center for
creative advancement of human
resources.
His entry was among six from
A&M and the only winner from
Texas.
