You can get twice as much insurance for about half the cost at the time when you need it most and can afford it least. The term insurance gives full coverage, even in war, with the right to convert to the permanent whole life plan at the time of your choosing. If you don’t convert until age 30, the premium is still only $13.85 per month for $10,000 whole life. This offer made by a top U. S. life insurance company. Conference sanc tions prohibit the school from post-season football competition until next Jan. 15. In December, the conference reviews the A&M athletic pro gram and if probation is re scinded, the NCAA will take ac tion in January. HOUSTON — All the Texas Aggie netters had to do Tuesday was win two points against Rice to win the Southwest Conference title, but the Owls turned back the Aggies, 5-1. The defeat left A&M one-half game behind the Owls, but all is not lost. Rice has a 30-5 rec ord compared to A&M’s 30-6. The Owls cinched at least a tie for the title with their win, but must still defeat the Southern Methodist Mustangs today to take the championship outright. If SMU defeats Rice then the Aggies and the Owls will share the title, but if the Owls win then they will finish one game ahead. Aggie Football Schedule Released Texas A&M’s 1966 football action will be divided equally be tween afternoon and night con tests with seven games on the road and three at home. The three home games—Texas Tech, Oct. 1; TCU, Oct. 15, and Arkansas, Oct. 29—will be under the lights at Kyle Field, starting at 7:30 p.m. The other two night games, both starting at 7:30, will be against Tulane in New Orleans Sept. 24 and against LSU in Baton Rouge Oct 8. The five day games, all on the road, are Georgia Tech Sept. 17, Baylor Oct. 22, SMU Nov. 5, Rice Nov. 12 and Texas Nov. 24. The Baylor game is at 1:15 and the other four start at 2 p.m. Only Luis Rojas was able to find the winning combination for the Aggies. He defeated Butch Seewagen, 4-6, 8-6, 6-2. The Aggies had chances in both doubles matches to win the SWC title — their first in the school’s history — but blew them both. In the top doubles match, Richard Barker and Rojas fought back to even the match at a set apiece, but lost the third and deciding set, 6-2. The scores for the first two sets were 6-4, 5-7. But the biggest disappoint ment of the afternoon came when the Aggies’s second doubles team had the Owls down and lost the match. The scores 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The Owls second doubles team consisted of Seewagen and Chip Travis, while A&M’s team was Richley Williams and Pete Faust. In the other single matches, John Pickens defeated Barker, 6-1, 6-2; Ed Turville defeated Williams, 6-2, 9-7 and Travis de feated Faust, 6-2, 6-2. Before the points lost to Rice, the Aggies had only lost a point to Texas. Rice had lost their only points against Texas Christian when they lost a sin gle match and when they split with Texas, 3-3. The Aggies will now play in the SWC tournament which starts Thursday in Austin. Bar ker and Rojas who won the dou bles title two years ago in Lub bock will be one of the teams entered in the meet. ■ ■■■■■I :■! : -zmsm WJlMflMflMfllllMil fit “ if f i : i if m !■•»■■■&! at JS* Mi mm SSL: * - ■ssu.
