The honor was announced Mon day, the second day of the So ciety’s 57th annual meeting April 24-27 in Los Angeles. Graham Movie Opens Thursday Evangelist Billy Graham will be heard in the closing minutes of his latest motion picture, “The Restless Ones,” opening a seven- day run Thursday at the Queen Theatre in Bryan. The feature-length film dealing with the teen-age crisis comes to Bryan with the cooperation of church leaders. The movie’s background is provided by the 1963 Billy Graham Los Angeles Crusade. The film may be seen daily at 6:15 and 8:30 p.m. with addition al showings set Saturday and Sunday. A 2 p.m. matinee is planned Saturday with four show ings Sunday at 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at area churches or the film office at 2010 Texas Avenue. All seats are reserved. The Graham movie focuses the contemporary plight of both teen agers and parents. Its cast in cludes Johnny Crawford and oth er television and motion picture stars. Reiser has been active in the AOCS for many years. He was on the Board of Governors from 1961 to 1963, and was nominated for the vice presidency in 1964. Dr. Carl M. Lyman, head of the Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition, said Reiser is in ternationally known for his re search on the chemistry of fats and oils and relationships of fats (lipids) on diet and heart dis ease in humans. Reiser holds numerous recogni tions awards. The most recent include: —Southwest Regional Award, American Chemical Society, 1964. —C a n a d i a n Award of the American Oil Chemists’ Society for the most outstanding con tribution to the Society’s journal in 1963. —Faculty Distinguished Achievement Award in Research for 1963, presented by the A&M Association of Former Students. —Shared in the Glycerine Pro ducers Association Award in 1952 for the synthesis of C-14 labeled glycerol and its use in the study of fat metabolism. —Research Career Award from the National Institute of Health. These awards are made to scien tists of demonstrated ability and continue for the recipient’s entire career. The biochemist is past asso ciate editor of the “Journal of the American Oil Chemists’ So ciety” and is currently associate editor of “Lipids.” He is a Dip lomat of the American Board of Clinical Chemists and a consult ant in clinical chemistry to the Veterans Administration Ho! pital at Temple. Reiser is also serving as i member of the Nutrition StiiJi Section of the National Institute of Health.
