The drama, by Gary Heilsberg, will be per formed by The Bishop's Company, an internationally known repertory theater group making its third straight A&M appearance. California Group To Present Play )rovidt PALACE Br^an Jerry Lewis & Tony Curtis In BOEING BOEING” QUEEN TONIGHT 7:30 - 9 :30 Elke Sommers In “SWEET ESTACY’ The Bishop’s Company, inter nationally known repertory thea ter ensemble will present “Step Down to Glory” by Gary Heils berg, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the All Faith Chapel. The com pany visits Texas A&M for the third successive year. This new play, the fifteenth in Horsley To Attend 2 National Meets Wendell R. Horsley, director of placement and student aid, will participate in two national meetings this week. He leaves today for Bethle hem, Pa., where he will serve as chairman of the visitation com mittee of the College Placement Services session set up by the College Placement Council. The meeting is designed to upgrade placement and counseling serv ices by visits to campuses over the nation for conferences. Horsley continues to San Fran cisco for a meeting of the long- range planning committee of the Street. College Placement Council. The panel includes the six past coun cil presidents. Long active at the national level, Horsley is the only person to serve as placement council president and also president of two regional placement associa tions. the thirteen year record of the ensemble in presenting fine dra ma in the 50 states and Canada, is based on the life of President Woodrow Wilson, and his strug gle and defeat in seeing his dream of a League of Nations become a reality. It is no eulogy of a man be cause of his idealism, but a bold and straight-to-the-point story of a man widowed while holding the nation’s highest office, his marriage the following year, and an illness in which his wife kept the chief executive literally in communicado and was said to have been nearly, in fact, the first woman president of the United States. Through one of the most trying and dismaying periods as the people of the world faced their first global struggle, the story graphically and pathetical ly shows the defeat of the ideal ism of the world because of the stature of their political leaders. Poet-playwright Gary Heils berg has lost none of the drama of the period nor the stature of the man when he portrays Wilson as a fierce yet tender, wise yet foolish, but above all a tenacious man in his belief that world peace could be a reality.
