Moudy, chancellor of Texas Christian University. Hubert, president of the Asso ciation of Texas Colleges and Universities, will represent the organization at the inauguration. While in Fort Worth, Hubert will conduct a meeting of the executive committee of the As sociation. Billingsley Speaks To Ag Eco Club Dr. Ray Billingsley, former member of the Food and Agri culture Organization, spoke to members of the Agricultural Economics Club of the Depart ment of Agricultural Economics and Sociology Tuesday. Billingsley has just returned from a five-year stay in Rome and throughout Europe. “The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is particu larly interested in giving the un derdeveloped countries a higher standard-of-living by showing those countries how they can ac complish this movement them selves,” Billingsley said. “The quarrels within the Unit ed Nations that the people of the United States read about are due largely to the political differ ences of the nations represent ed,” he added. Earth Science Expert To Speak Wednesday John F. Thompson, program evaluation coordinator of the Earth Science Curriculum Pro ject, will present a lecture at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Room 401 of the Academic Building. The earth science curriculum is a study by the American Geolog ical Institute to develop a new earth science course for the jun ior high school level. Thompson, assistant principal of West Junior High School in Maple Heights, Ohio, will discuss the project and show films which have been developed on the sub ject. The presentation is aimed at the Academic Year Institute par ticipants, faculty, staff and local public school teachers. Kilgore Students Tour Poultry Department Professor Wayne Lacy and 14 students from Kilgore Junior College toured the Department of Poultry Science last week. Dr. J. H. Quisenberry, depart ment head, spoke to the on the future of agriculture, es pecially in the field of poultry science. Dr. F. A. Gardner, as sociate professor in the depart ment, and James Bryant, con ducted a tour of the poultry sci ence laboratories for the group. J. W. Bradley, assistant pro fessor, showed the Poultry Cen ter and some of the research pro jects now being conducted. Adams To Judge High School Bands Texas A&M Band Director Lt. Col. E. V.
