Friday the Publications Com mittee will meet from 3-5 p.m. and will attend a buffet dinner at ZARAPE’S BEST IN MEXICAN FOODS Fast Pre-Game Service Open Until 9:00 P. M. Charles E. A buffet luncheon will be held in the Ball room from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. the visitors will ad journ to Kyle Field for the A&M- Baylor football game. 17 Students Enroll In Acting Course Seventeen students are enrolled this semester in Techniques of Acting, a Theater Arts course of fered through the Department of English at Texas A&M. The course, one of six theater courses taught by C. K. Esten, director of the Aggie Players, A&M’s theater group, is designed to teach students styles of acting, character analysis and develop ment and stage movement. During the course, the students take part in the Aggie Players’ major productions or in plays di rected, and sometimes written, by students and presented in the Fallout Theater Workshop, the Players’ experimental theater. Eight of the students are now cast in the Aggie Players’ pro duction of “Death of A Salesman’’ by Arthur Miller, directed by Es ten and scheduled on campus Nov. 8-13. They are Aileen Wenck of New York City as Linda, wife of Wil lie Loman, the salesman; Tim Lane of Bryan, as their son, Hap py; Karl Rubinstein of Bellvue, Neb., as Willie’s brother, Ben; Harry Howell of Abilene, as Charlie, the neighbor; Steve Thurman of Indianapolis, Ind. as his son, Bernard; Lani Presswood of Fort Worth, as Howard Wag ner, the salesman’s employer; and Jan Gannaway of Haskell, as Miss Forsythe. Other members of the class are serving on various production crews and include Robert Wenck of Midland, technical director of the players; Tydes Alley of Bos sier City, La.; George Clarke Jr. of Lake Charles, La.; Glenn Dromgoole of Sour Lake; Jay Ferguson of Dallas; Mike Mc Adams of Texarkana; John Rat- cliffe of Shreveport, La.; William Ulbricht Jr. of Houston; James Wright of Corpus Christi; and Jean Reyna of Brenham. Restaurant Association To Hold Monday Meet The Bryan-College Station Res taurant Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn in Bryan. The program will include dinner and a talk by Mr. W. T. Nelson. Nelson, of Morton Foods in Dallas, will speak on “Matitua- tions and Communations.” The dinner will cost $2.50 per person. Meteorological Chapter To Meet Tuesday The College Station Chapter of the American Meteorological Society will meet at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in Room 305 of Good win Hall. Dean Horace R. Byers will speak concerning his recent stud ies in cloud nucleation. Refreshments will be served preceding the program. Bryan To Open Education Program “Operation Opportunity,” Bryan Public School System’s new adult education program, is slated to get under way Nov. 1. “This program is being estab lished to provide an opportunity for those adults who feel that they could benefit from increased education,” said A. R. Denney, program director. Those who choose to enroll in the program will be assigned to classes ac cording to their educational needs. Grades one through three will be covered in the primary level of the program, the fourth through the sixth in the inter mediate level and the seventh and eighth in the advanced level. Each level will consist of 120 hours of night time instruction which will be broken up into 2 two-hour meetings each week for 30 weeks.
