Page 8 College Station, Texas Thursday, October 7, 1965 THE BATTALION Fish-Wogs Game Site Jones, Slovak, Linnstaeder Head Consolidated PE Is Kyle Field The freshman football game between Texas A&M’s Fish and the TCU Wogs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday has been switched back to Kyle Field from A&M Consolidated High School's Tiger Stadium. Admission will be $1 for adults and 50 cents for stu dents. Texas A&M students will be admitted on their ac tivity cards and season-ticket holders will be admitted on their book covers. With the coming of fall, the A&M Consolidated High School PE Department has begun prep aration for athletic competition in district 10-3A, of which A&M Consolidated is a No. 1 contender. The athletic department is composed of five members this year. Heading the department is Edsel Jones, varsity football coach and physical education teacher. Mrs. Lillian Slovak is the girls’ PE teacher and also the girls’ basketball coach. Bright. Coach Linnstaedter, a former Aggie star, is the assistant var sity coach as well as the assist ant basketball coach and head baseball coach. Coach Franklin is in charge of the B-team squad and Coach Bright is in charge of the freshman team. The Tigers have a 2-2 record so far this season. Their next game is with Hearne there Fri day night. Coach Jones is currently in the middle of football season. To assist him with the large number of boys that he has out for foot ball are coaches Jim Linnstaed ter, Jerry Franklin and Arthur Former middleweight boxing champion Fred Apostoli now refrees and judges matches in Northern California. HOUSTON GAME CAPTAIN Cougar defense guard Charles (Cotton) Guerrant will be the game captain Saturday night when Houston faces the Aggies in Kyle Field. Guerrant is 5-9, 207 pounds and con sidered by many an All-America candidate. He averaged 26 minutes per game last fall.
