Page 4 College Station, Texas Thursday, November 19, 1964 THE BATTALION Unitarians Get New Buildi Thurs A service to dedicate the new building of the Unitarian Fellow ship is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Sunday, announced Henry Rakoff, chairman of the Fellowship. The new building is located at 305 Old Highway 6, South in College Sta tion. The Unitarian Fellowship was organized here in 1957 with only a few families and has grown in size since that time. Last year it was decided that because of the rapid growth and the recognized potential growth of the Fellowship that it should have its own build ing. UNITARIAN CHURCH ... fellowship moves in Sunday. The building, which was formerly owned by the A&M Christian Church, was purchased by the Unitarians last July. Battalion Church News A delegation of 12 Aggies will travel to Sam Houston State Teachers College in Huntsville Thursday to present a vesper serv ice at the Sam Houston Baptist Student Union. This will be part of an exchange program being conducted between the two BSU’s. Prentiss W. Chunn, director of the local BSU, will be in charge of vespers at 7 p.m. Thui-sday. ★ ★ ★ “He Took It Upon Himself” will be the Rev. W. L. McPhear- son’s topic in a special Thanks giving service at A&M Metho dist Church at 10:55 a.m. Sun day. “Providence and Predestina tion” will be discussed by the Rev. J. Phil Kirby as part of a series on “Great Ideas of the Bible” at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wesley Foundation Building. ★ ★ ★ The last in the series of semi nars sponsored by the University Lutheran Church will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Presbyterian Stu dent Center. Charles Reed of the A&M De partment of Chemistry will speak on “The Mind of the Machine.” Lay Readers and men interest ed in becoming Lay Readers will meet at St. Thomas’ Chapel at 8 p.m. Sunday. ★ ★ ★ A Thanksgiving service spon sored by the Faith United Church of Christ, the A&M Presbyterian Church, and the First Presbyterian Church of Bryan will be at 9 a.m. Nov. 26 at the Faith Church. The Rev. Paul Baumer, pastor of Faith United Church of Christ, will speak, and the Rev. Richard Thomas, pastor of the First Pres byterian Church, will serve as lit- urgist. In addition to the main building, where the regular 8 p.m. Sunday meetings are held, there is also a Sunday School building on the pro perty which accomodates the Unit arian Religious Education classes each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. The College Station Unitarian Fellowship is a member of the American Unitarian - Universalist Association with headquarters in Boston and is also a member of the Southwest Unitarian-Univer- salist Conference. Two Unitarian ministers will participate in the Dedication Serv ice on Sunday.
