The Young Democrats pre sented a similar program Tuesday night. An election night party will fol low the BSU vespers at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A Halloween fellowship is sched uled for Baptist students and their dates at the BSU after the A&M- Arkansas game. The Association of A&M Bap tist Former Students will hold their annual banquet in the BSU at 5 pm. Saturday. Don Dickson, class of ’59, is president of the organi zation which meets yearly to re view developments at A&M and the BSU. ★ ★ ★ “The Biblical Basis of Social Action” is the theme of a series of three programs being con ducted at the Presbyterian Stu dent Center at 7:15 p.m. Wed nesdays. The second program in the series is to look at the New Testament. ★ ★ ★ The Wesley Foundation will sponsor an aftergame fellowship immediately following the A&M- Arkansas game Saturday. Music, refreshments, and games will be provided. Dr. E. C. Bashaw, research geneticist with the U. S. Depart ment of Agriculture, will speak to the Wesley Foundation following supper at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Speaking about the conflict be tween science and religion, Bashaw will be the first speaker in a series of programs on the theme “The Church in the World.” This is the theme of the Eighth Quadrenial Conference of the Methodist Stu dent Movement to be held in Lin coln, Neb., Dec. 26. ★ ★ ★ A student social, sponsored by the A&M Church of Christ, is scheduled after the football game Saturday night at the Church’s Bible Chair Building, 301 College Main. A series of eight Church lead ership films will begin at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the A&M Church of Christ. ★ ★ ★ “Responsible Voting” is the sub ject of discussion for the fifth of eight seminars sponsored by the University Lutheran Church at 7 pm. Sunday at the Presbyterian Student Center. Rev. James Fenner, Presbyterian Student minister here will speak. The Gamma Delta business meet ing is scheduled at 7:15 p.m. Wed nesday in the YMCA. ★ ★ ★ The Friday service of the Bnai B’rith Hillel Foundation will be led by Rickey Melcer, A&M stu dent, at 7 p.m. A brunch and discussion wil be at 10:30 at the Hillel Founda tion. Dr. Raymond Reiser, pro fessor in the Department of Bio chemistry and Nutrition here will lead the discussion. ★ ★ ★ Dr. George Krise of the De partment of Biology will speak to the evening discussion group of the Unitarian Fellowship at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Krise’s topic will be “Prob lems of the Impact of Scientific discovery on Orthodox Theology.” The group will meet in the Uni tarian Fellowship Building at 305 Old Highway 6 South. ★ ★ ★ A series concerning “Church Doctrine’ will begin Wednesday at a luncheon study conducted at the Presbyterian Student Cen ter. The discussions will be led by the Rev. James H. Fenner, director of the Presbyterian Student Center, and the Rev. Walter Allen, campus minister of the Church of Christ. ★ ★ ★ The Gamma Delta business meet ing is scheduled at 7:15 p.m. Wed nesday in the YMCA. Meats Section Names Panel Two students and one secretary have been chosen for the meats tasting panel of the Department of Animal Sciences meats chemis try section. The panel will start work in about a week. They have been in the training phase of the pro gram. After training they will be tasting and scoring meat ac cording to tenderness, amount of connective tissues and other points. The students are Charles Ivy, a graduate student in engineering, and Donna Litteau. The secre tary is Mrs. Sandra Wilson, a secretary in the Animal Industries Building. Rockefeller Aid Available At YMCA Rockefeller Foundation Scholar ships are available at the YMCA to persons interested in lay or ministry work. Anyone wanting details is urged to contact J. Gordon Gay, YMCA general secretary, as soon as pos sible. Gay said the scholarships will pay tuition, room, board and trav el to and from school to qualified students. “These scholarships are good for any recognized theological school in the United States,” he said. A person who decides against going into the ministry at the end of the first year can withdraw from school without financial obli gations, the secretary said.
