Sports Editor With the final few weeks of gridiron tussles before us, con- Student Senate Sponsors Bowl The Student Senate will sponsor the annual Twelfth Man Bowl football game in Kyle Field at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15. One team will consist of 33 civilian students, the other team will con sist of 33 students from the corps. Practice will begin Dec. 2 and will last for two weeks. Players will need tennis shoes, but foot ball shoes will be furnished for the game. The athletic department will fur nish equipment and the varsity football players will act as coach es. Ji#n Benson of the Civilian Stu dent Council said all people who want to try out are urged to at tend the first practice session. Admission will be 50 cents and the proceeds will go to the Twelfth Man Scholarship Fund. With or without Bevo, the Steers will win by two touchdowns or more. ARKANSAS 20, SMU 13: Coach Broyles and his boys were finally defeated in November but the Raz orbacks are eager to start another string. BAYLOR 33, KENTUCKY 6: Trull and Elkins hit the touchdown trail once again as they romp over the Wildcats. Future goal: a date with Navy in the Blue bonnet Bowl. TEXAS TECH 26, TEXAS WESTERN 6: The Red Raiders seek another victory. OKLAHOMA 20, MISSOURI 6: The Sooners warm up for their next week against the Comhuskers of Nebraska. PITTSBURGH 20, ARMY 14: The Cadets run up against a rug ged Pitt team that has downed everyone but the Midshipmen. ALABAMA 1 7, GEORGIA TECH 14: The Crimson Tide takes the sting out of the Yellow- jackets.
