By MARVIN SCHULTZ
Battalion Ass’t. Spoi'ts Editor
A&M’s Fish footballers will try
to get into the victory column to
night as they host the Cubs of
Baylor University. The game will
not only be a league contest but
one that will benefit the Crippled
Children’s program. Sponsoring
the game and program are the
Shriners who are headed by Tom
King, chairman.
Suffering a 10-0 defeat to TCU
in their first outing, the Fish
will seek to balance off the record
with a victory over the Cubs who
disposed of the Texas Shorthorns
21-17 in their first game.
BAYLOR squeaked out a close
107 score last year and the Fish
squad will also consider that point
when they take the field.
Expected to take the helm for
] the second game will be John
Worst, a 160-pounder from Sun
Ray who led the Frosh in rushing
yardage against the Wogs, rack
ing up 22 yards in four carries.
Lloyd Curington will be at the left
half post while his running mate
at the right half slot will be Dan
Westerfield. Curington gained 15
yards in three attempts in his
debut. Westerfield, a 170-pounder
from Crawford will be seeing acti
vity for the first time. Joe Weiss,
the hefty fullback will round out
the backfield machine.
FOUR CHANGES have been
made in the line as the Fish await
the Cub invasion. The left tackle
and right tackle posts will see
new faces as Henry Coomes and
Jim Wickerham start at the re-

Bob Barnett will take over at
left guard while Emil Farr will
man the right guard position.
Ken Lamkin will be back at
center while the end positions go
to John Poss (left) and James
Wallace (right). Wallace nabbed
a pass for a 15-yard gainer in the
opener against TCU.
BAYLOR’S attack will center
around Terry Southall, the 175-
pounder who passed and ran the
Shorthorns out of Waco in the
Cub opener. One player to watch
on the squad will be their towering
left end, Jack Eisenhart, the giant
from San Antonio Jeff who
grabbed one pass in the end zone
against Texas and ignited several
scoring drives with his pass re
ceiving.
Baylor’s starting line will aver
age 202 to 198 for A&M. The Cub
backfield will be eight pounds
heavier, 183-175.
