THE BATTALION College Station, Texas Thursday, July* 11, 1963 Hall Will Present Paper In France Dr. Wayne C. Hall of A&M plans to leave Saturday to present a paper at an international confer ence July 15-20 near Paris, Prance. He will return here after visiting briefly Oxford University and the University of London after the con ference. DR WAYNE C. HALL The A&M graduate dean i;s one of 19 Americans among- SS sci entists from over the world in vited to participate in the Fifth Inti rna tional Conference on Natural P lant Growth Regulators, pnly scient ists presenting papers may attend. Hall is a professor of plant phy siology as well as dean of the graduate school. He participated in the fourth international confer ence held in 1959. His paper to the conference this year at Gif-sur-Yvette is entitled, “Interrelations Between Ethylene and Auxins.” The coauthor is Dr. Page W. Morgan, an assistant pro fessor in the Department of Plant Sciences. Hall was invited by the executive committee of the conference and. the French Minister of Education and Science. West Texas Wilderness McKittrick Canyon, a rugged, wooded slash in the Guada lupe Mountains, near Pine Springs, is part of the 60,000- acre area the National Park Service is considering as a national park. Pearson, who joined the A&M Division of Business Ad ministration June 1 as division head, will attend the Research Workshop in Marketing at the University of California Graduate School of Business Administration July 22-Aug. 30. The Ford Found ation is the sponsor. Dr. Pearson’s interest will be in the area of industrial markets. He will present a paper entitled “Mai-keting- Objectives in Indus trial Production.” Workshop participants will in clude 25 faculty members selected by a committee of the faculty at Berkeley, Calif., on the basis of nominations received from through out the country.
