Worth, will be leading a “Christian Home Conference” at the First Baptist Chui-ch of Col lege Station, beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck supper. Emphasis for the weekend pro gram will be on the part the family plays in the home. The subject for the Friday evening discussion will be “The Family in a Modern World.” • Drakeford will preach both ser vices Sunday on the subjects, “The Family-the Laboratory of Life” and ‘The Family Meal-Bickering, Bedlam, or Blessing.” Drakeford is presently Director of the Baptist Marriage and Fami ly Counseling Center and author of Counseling for Church Leaders and Red Blueprint for the World. He is also a regular speaker on the Southern Baptist radio program, “Master Control.” Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. he will speak to fathers on the subjects, “The Facts of Life for Fathers.” Band Feed Set At High School The annual banquet honoring members of the A&M Consolidated High School Band will be held Saturday at 7 p.m., in the Fellow ship Hall of the A&M Presbyterian Church. Sponsor for this event is the Band Boosters Club, whose membership is composed of band parents. Mrs. Robert L. Whiting, banquet chairman, has urged pai’ents of band members to attend the ban quet and dance that follows. Dead line for making reservations is Wednesday. All students who are candidates for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy are re quired to order hoods as well as the doctor’s cap and gown. The hoods are to be left at the Registrar’s Office no later than 1:00 , Tuesday, May 21 (this will be e of the .D. hoods will not be worn in the procession since all such candidates will be hooded on the stage as a part of the ceremonies, thi and hood appropru degree. Candidates for the Master’s De gree will wear the Master’s cay and gown. All civilian students who are candidates for the Bachelor’s Degree will wear the bachelor’s cap and gown. ROTC students who are candidates for the Bachelor’s De will wear the Class “A” cadet uniform gree will wear the Glass "A” cadet in lieu of academic regalia. Senior boots are optional with the uniform. Rental of caps and gowns may be arranged with the Exchange Store. Orders may be placed between 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 6 and between 8:0U a.m. Monday, May 12:00 noon Saturday, May 18.
