Potts, assistant direc tor of agricultural instruction, said the Sears Foundation program honors several freshmen and one sophomore each year who are out standing students in the School of Agriculture. J. P. Plain of Dallas, regional director of the Sears Foundation, will attend the dinner. S. and Soviet scientists signed an accord Wed nesday for a joint weather satel lite program, then called for broad er American-Russian cooperation to include probes to other planets. They also agreed on the launch ing of the U. S. Echo II satellite for joint communications tests. The agreements were reached in 10 days of negotiations here. Both agreements were reached under a space cooperation accord signed by the two countries last June. They were announced at a joint news conference by Hugh L. Dryden of the U. S. National Aero nautics and Space Administration, and Anatoly A. Blagonravov of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. Dryden and Blagonravov led the teams of negotiators.
