The Baylor series, according to Coach Tom Chandler, will be the most impor tant of the season for the Farmers Holding a far-from-comfortable half-game margin over the Texas Longhorns, the Ags will have to win these two home games to keep ahead in the race. A&M is now 9-2 in FfWC play and owns a 16-5 season record. Second-place Texas has an 8-2 slate and the Bears ane 7-3. The fact that even Baylor is not completely out of the running points to tough going for the Ca dets, even on Kyle Field. The Bears have already pulled a sur- pr : se 2-0 win over A&M earlier in the season at Waco. If they STICKLEYS GIANT 6 HOUR • • • SALE • • • 4 p. M — 10 P. M. In Class C softball yesterday Wal ton Hall won over Milner Hall, 20-1, and Puryear Hall beat Leg gett Hall, 8-1. In freshman softball yesterday, F-l sneaiced by A-l, 10-9. Holding A-l to one run and then picking up one of their own, F-l tied the game at the end of the second inning, 1-1. An infield hit in the top of the third put two men on. Ad vancing to third on a walk then stealing home on an overthrow to the catcher, A-l scored one run that inning. Giving F-l two runs in the bottom of the third, A-l trailed by one score as they re tired the sides. Leading off in the top of fourth, A-l put two men on and then with a long drive into rightfield, scored two runs. As the throw came in from the outfield, it was wild and two more players crossed the plate giving A-l the lead. Not satisfied, they hit another long drive into the outfield and scored another two runs. As a safety measure, they crossed the plate once more before the inning ended. Behind by seven runs, F-l came to bat. Two walks then a long hit to leftfield brought in two runs. After two more walks, the bases were loaded and just right for an other score. Crossing the plate on an error at first, F-l contin ued to pile up the points. A hit to the outfield almost cleared the bases as they pushed the score to 8-9. With everything depending on the next play, F-l knocked one into leftfield and as the necessary two runs crossed the plate, the game was called. F-l had won by the narrow mar gin of one run. Winning players for F-l were James Botary, Clifford Brown, Louis Anderson, Jack Andrews, Tommy Fine, Robert Johnson, Bill Ledbetter, Mac Jeffus, and Harry Jones.
