Palmer Favored
SAN ANTONIO, Tex. (/P)—Ar
nold Palmer, who has won more
tournaments and more money than
anybody elso this year, is favored
to take his third straight Texas
Open starting Thursday. If he
succeeds it’ll be a record for the
38-year-old golf event.
Palmer heads a field of 130 pro
fessionals and 20 amateurs.
There never was a stronger field
after money in the $30,000 event.
Winners of 16 of the 21 tourna
ments played thus far this year
will be on hand. The only missing
ones will be Bo Wininger, Tommy
Jacobs, Henry Williams and Billy
Casper.

the fire-eating preacher. Learn why
he was ousted from his own church.
And what happened to the nearly $1
