Eco., B.A., Eco., I. Ed. and I. Eng. majors. Initial assignment will be in one of 11 sales depart ments. Liquid Carbonic Division o f General Dynamics Corp. will hold interviews for Chem. Eng. and M.E. majors. Both will begin with training programs. W. S. Dickey Clay Manufactur ing Co. will interview C.E.’s to serve as liaison between the com pany and the engineering profes sion and construction industry. Core Laboratories Inc. wants Pet. Eng. majors to receive train ing in core . analysis installations and well-logging units and after training advance into some phase of technical activity. Alco Products Inc. will intei’- view Chem. Accounting majors will be consid ered for sales and advanced degree SFA Girl Governor To Give; Turkey Miss Sharon Grisham, Texas Turkey Queen and junior at Step hen F. Austin High School in Bry an will go to Austin Oct. 21 to present Gov. Price Daniel with a turkey for his Thanksgiving din ner. Sharon will make the trip with George Draper, president of the Texas Turkey Federation and poultry supervisor with the De partment of Poultry Science. The queen was chosen at the convention of the Texas Poultry Improvement Assn, held in Dallas last August. Draper was elected president of the Texas Turkey Federation at the same conven tion. T.F/F. works over the entire state with hatcherymen and grow ers in the marketing and promo tion of turkeys. Sharon and Dra per will be on hand at the Nation al Turkey Federation Convention on Jan. 5-6 where they will par ticipate in various activities rep resenting Texas turkey growers. The two have just returned from the Texas State Fair in Dallas where they presented awards to the outstanding turkey growers of Texas. Saturday, awards were presented to F.F.A. and F.H.A. winners. Gray, associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Education and Dowell Hunt and Melvin Young, agricul tural education majors, are at tending the National Future Farm ers of America Convention at Kan sas City, Mo., which ends today. They also are participating in the national convention of Student Teachers in Vocational Agricul ture, held in conjunction with the FFA parley. The conventions be gan Monday. In addition to serving as dele gates to these conventions, Hunt, who is president of the A&M Col legiate FFA Chapter and Young received their American Farmer Degrees. Gray said this is the highest degree awarded by the national FFA organization. Only one mem ber in a thousand may attain the American Farmer Degree, which is given for outstanding achieve ment in farming and rural leader ship. Approximately 10,000 FFA mem bers from throughout the United States are attending the conven tion, Gray said.
