Father^s Day Committee Selects Theme For 1937 “Integrity Starts in the Home” is the theme of 1957 Father’s Day, according to the National Father’s Day Committee. The day will cli max the observance of Father- Child Month, May 16-June 16. This years theme is taken from the words of Joseph N. Welch, Bos ton lawyer who gained fame in the Army-McCarthy hearings and who was named 1956 Father of the Year. Today, five years later, Miss Sachiko Hidari is one of Japan’s top actresses, showered with fan mail and recipient of numerous awards. “I’m simply amazed by it all,” she admits with a typical, quiet smile. . . Sachiko, 26, a sort of Japanese Mitzi Gaynor in appearance, was named “Best Actress” at the 1956 International Film Festival in Dub lin for her role in “I Am On Trial.” And a leading Tokyo newspaper called her recent performance in “Jochukko” (the maid servant and the boy) “Best Of The Year.” That’s a long way from the plain, young lady who tearfully handed the school principal her re signation. Some how in the depth of her de pression, she turned to a dramatics school—“I don’t exactly know why,” she says. Within three months her class presented a Japanese drama. A Motion picture scout was in the audience. By nightfall Sachiko was signed for the lead role in “Youngsters’ Mistake.” 4000 G F.
