Churches To Welcome Parents This Sunday A&M METHODIST CHURCH “Challenging Our Youth” will be the sermon topic of the Rev. Nolan R. Vance at the 10:55 a.m. worship service. Intermediate and Senior MYF will meet respectively at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Evening wor ship will begin at 7 p.m. :i: * REORGANIZED CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LAT TER DAY SAINTS The series of programs on dis tinctive aspects of the church will continue this Sunday at 6:15 p.m. at the YMCA, first floor. The topic will be “The Restoration.” Following colored slides and com mentary there will be a brief re freshment and fellowship period. * * * A&M PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH The Rev. Norman Anderson will preach on the subject “A Day of Note” at the 8:45 a.m. service. “God’s Gift To the Christian Par ents” will be the topic of a three- part service to be presented by students at 11 a.m. Those par ticipating include Michael Kuick, Neill Perry, Robert Coffman, Dan iel Garza, Rhea McWilliams and Ford Dabb. * * * OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH In observance of Parent’s Day, Bill Heard, chaplain of the A&M band will preach at the 11 a. m. service of Morning- Prayer. The rector, the Rev. Robert L. Darwall, will give the sermon at the 9:30 a. m. service. Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 a. m. The young peoples meeting will begin at 6 p. m. :J< * WESTMINISTER FELLOWSHIP James R. Jones will conduct the student-led worship service at 7:15 p. m. Mrs. Frank Gould will be sponsor. Including families and faculty, 54 persons attended the picnic, with square dancing climaxing the even ing’s entertainment. Morga. IL N. Club Sets Final Meeting The A&M United Nations Club will elect next year’s officers Fri day at 7:30 in the YMCA.. This will be the final meeting this year. Before the elections, the Latin American Combo will pre sent a program of Latin American music. New Officers Installed As Club Year Ends The Campus Study Club closed its activities for the season with an installation tea on Tuesday after noon at the YMCA. Mrs. C. W. Crawford, program chairman, introduced Mrs. J. C. Culpepper who gave a brief resume of the aims of the club and named the officer duties of each as she conducted the installation of Mrs. W. S. Allen, president; Mrs. D. M. Bass, vice-president; Mrs. Harvey T. Kennedy, recording secretary; Mrs. B. F. K. Mullins, correspond ing secretary; Mrs. Jarrell D. Gray, treasurer; Mrs. Joseph C. Brusse, reporter; Mrs. L. M. Haupt, historian; Miss Jennie Oliver, auditor; and Mrs. Bardin H. Nel son, paiiiamentarian. Mrs. Culpepper presented to Mrs. Allen, president, a silver basket, the club’s emblem of friendship, and also the gavel, emblem of authority. Mrs. Bardin H. Nelson, retiring president, then presented Mrs. Allen with a club president’s pin. Outgoing officers were hostesses for a social hour following the installation when punch and iced cakes were served by Mesdames Allen and Nelson. The tea table, laid with a white linen cutwork cloth, was centered with an ar rangement of spring flowers.
