B. Davis, 101 Brook Lane, College Station. Families and guests of members are invited. Election of officers will be held at the Dam.es Club meeting on Tuesday at 8:00 in the YMCA. All members are asked to be present. * * * Aggie Wives Council meets Mon day at YMCA at 8 p. m. for elec tion of officers. All members for next semester are urged to be present. WSCS Installs New Officers, Gives Awards The Women’s Society of Christian Service of the A&M Methodist Church met in the home of Mrs. Nolan Vance on Monday evening. The following now officers were installed by Mrs. L. E. Ellwood, district president: Mrs. W. W. Mills, president; Mrs. Jarvis Mil ler, vice president; Mrs. W. G. Breazeale, second vice president; Mrs. Stewart Brown, secretary; Mrs. Ran Boswell, treasurer. The following secretaries were also installed: spiritual life, Mrs. J. R. Hillman; supply, Mrs. Bob Hudson; missionary education, Mrs. J. R. Pedigo; promotion, Mi’s. Harlan Smith; status of women, Mi’s. ,J. R. Lyon; Christian social relations, Mrs. W. A. Varvel; literature, Mrs. Clarence Moore, children’s work, Mrs. W. W. Caudill; youth work, Mrs. Ed Holdredge, student work, Mrs. Sam Cleland and chairman of local church activities, Mrs. K. R. Bailey. Animal Husbandry Wives Club will meet Thursday, May 9 in the south solarium of the YMCA at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Robert Stevenson will speak on how to be a good hostess. All members and staff wives are urged to attend. The Range and Forestry Wives will be guests at this meeting. r-r- * * Aero Wives have planned an open house Saturday in the Aero Lounge from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each member is asked to bake two dozen cookies and take them to Helen Milam’s, C-ll-A College View, by Saturday morning. Sunday at 5 p. m. the Aero Wives are planning a spaghetti supper for their families in Cash- ion Cabin in Hensel Park. Each member is asked to bring eating utensils for her family. Tickets will be 50 cents per family . Ph. T. degrees will be awarded. Those planning to attend are asked to call Helen White, VI 6-6290 after 5:30 p.m. before Saturday. AAUW Art Group Plans For Workshop The American Association of University Women closed its year’s activities with a May luncheon at the Memorial Student Center Saturday. New officers for 1957-59 were installed by Mi-s. J. IT. Sorrells, outgoing state parliamentarian. Those who take their offices July 1 are: second vice president in charge of membership, Mrs. Keith L. . Dixon; recording secretary, Mrs. Louis F. Hauer; correspond ing secretary, Mrs. Joe C. Bi’usse Jr.; historian, Mrs. Chas. F. Lewis. Miss Dorothy LaSelle, Pi’ofessor of Art at TSCW, is willing to direct an art workshop at the College YMCA in June. Anyone in the community who is interested in at tending is asked to contact Mrs. W. J. Dobson, art chairman of the club. Mrs. J. H, Sorrells and Mrs. Horace Blank were named dele gates to the seventy-fifth national convention in Boston this June. Manley Elected To Tex. Baptist Union Jim Manley, junior geological engineer major from Baytown, was elected a member of the executive committee for the Texas Baptist Union during a conference at Lath am recently. The convention was held to out line campus activities for the 45,- 000 Baptist college students in the state. A little leftover rice or some noodles in the refrigerator?
