About 70 muscle-men will participate in the tournament. Other than A&M, such institu tions as Texas University, Rice Institute and Louisiana State University—which held the Junior National Cham pionship two years ago—are enter ed, along with various YMCA clubs and individual entries. The Aggies have entered two tournaments thus far this year, winning one and placing second in the other. Their first outing, in January’s Houston Odd-Lift contest, found them being nosed out by one point at the hands of Houston’s. South- side Lifting Club. On March 16, they walked away from the Region HI meet in Houston with a decisive victory. A&M took four first-place and one second-place titles The Ags were scheduled to enter the state tournament in Waco on March 30, but the self-supported and coached club was not able to make the necessary arrangements.
