Start ing at 7 p.m., the meal will cost $2 per couple and the dancing is free. The Zarape’s Special menu to be served consists of 2 enchiladas, 1 tamale, 1 beef taco, fried beans, and rice, coffee, tea, or milk. Sea food will be available. USMC, of the 6th Infantry Battalion of Hous ton will speak to local members of the special platoon attached to the Houston unit in the Cabinet Room of the YMCA, announced 1st Lt. Bob Wilson, local commanding officer. “Col. Lines will answer all ques- lions concerning local members of aur unit or those interested in joining our unit,” Wilson said. You can make the hard-boiled I eggs do extra duty as a Halloween table decoration. Remove shells and decorate each .egg with eye- brows made of sliced, stuffed ol ives. Use cloves for eye dot. Make the mouth and nose from pimento, and the hat from a slice of carrot with a small point at bottom to stick into the egg. Place a skewer through each egg and stick the skewers into a round loaf of rye bread to make sure they will hold firmly. Then serve party style. Here are direc tions for making this treat. Apple-cidered Halloween Eggs J dozen cksts, hard-cooked and peeled ! cups apple cider 1/, cup white vinegar 1 'a t. salt I t. pickling spice I clove garlic, peeled l/ 2 onion, sliced (potional) Simmer all spice ingredients 5 minutes. Pour over eggs in a jar. Cover and refrigerate several hours to season. When ready to serve, draip eggs, mount skewers, decor ate and insert skewers into a loaf of rye bread. Makes 12 Halloween eggs. On the radio program for Tues day, “How Christian Science Heals”, heal'd at 9:45 a. m. over WTA W, the remarkable recovery of an injured pilot, who suffered a fractured spine and paralysis of his left side but was not given medical aid, will be related. D. Tarble, temporary chairman. Those present voted to name the organ ization “The Unitarian Fellowship of Brazos County”. Meetings will be held the first third and fifth Sundays at 7:45 p. m. in the YMCA Building. The fifth Sundays will be served for family night programs. Nominating, by-laws, and relig ious education committees were ap pointed. In discussing the type programs desired by the group, the majority present felt the first few meetings should be devoted to a study of Unitarian principles. The topic selected for Sunday’s service will be “Individual Freedom of Be lief” and will be presented in round table discussion. Pamphlets, “Thomas Jefferson’s Religious Views”, “Letter to an Or thodox Colleague”, “Ten Elements of the Unitarian Religion”, and “Unitarianism: What Is It?” were distributed for background study. A coffee hour will be observed following the discussion. A cor dial invitation is extended to all interested persons. Traffic, Parking Violations Down Activity for College Station police slacked off slightly from last week, accor-ding to the depart ment’s weekly report. 38 tickets were issued and two accidents were reported by city patrolmen. Fifteen over-parking tickets, six for parking on the wrong side of the street and 14 for parking in a no parking zone were issued. In addition, two tickets were given for speeding and one for negligent collision. No details were available on the two accidents included in the weekly report, which covers the period from Oct. 12 through Oct. 17. LADIES . . . A special seivice at 7:15 p. m. preaching service will feature an Elder of the Highland Church of Abilene who will speak about the “Herald of Truth”, a radio pro gram.
