Both teams have dropped all pre vious encounters. It’s the first home game for Luke Welch’s freshmen who bowed 22-6 last week to a heavier Texas Shorthorn eleven. The Cubs lost the game, but at halftime held a 6-0 lead and quickly made it 12-0 only to lose the second score on a penalty. Injuries have hounded the Cubs this season with five of Welch’s gridders being sidelined last week. An unusually thin squad to begin with has ampli fied the injury angle somewhat. The big names in that Texas en counter were a pair of sparkling halfbacks Dobie Craig of El Campo and Austin Gonsulin of Port Authur. Craig was one of the five players hurt in the Austin contest and is still a doubtful participant Thursday night, because of an in jured leg. Big guns for the Fish are ex pected to be Quarterback Charles Milstead and Halfback Gordon Le- Beouf. Starting lineup is: Wisener , Lauck Proctor Cooper , Brown FISH CLBS Caruthers LE Mueller LT ..... It was the third straight season that Traylor has suffered an in jury that either kept him out of action altogether or cut his season materially.
