nounced that Mrs. J. B. Chapman
will be a guest oft the church Sat
urday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mission
ary rally. Mrs. Chapman is the
DIRECTOR—Mrs. Beverley Braley will direct and stage
the 1955 Cotton Ball Pageant to be held in the G. Rollie
White coliseum April 29 before the Cotton Ball. Mrs.
Braley will present a style show of cotton fashions that
will be taken from her shop in Bryan.

Fritzie Connally, ace Aggie high
jumper, skimtned over the bar at
6-3% to win the high jump easily.
He cleared 6-4 in Austin earlier
this season.
“Connally looks like the boy
to win the high jump in the con
ference meet,”’ said Anderson. “No
one in the conference has beaten
him yet.”
The Cadets once again proved
strongest in the weights. Lee
Newman won the discus on a thi’ow
of 142-10. Herman Johnson was
first in the shot with a heave of
52 feet and second in the discus.
Tom Bonorden took second in the
shot and fourth in the discus.

17% points, winning the 50-yard
and 100-yard freestyles and swim
ming on the winning 400-yard fx-ee-
style relay.
Ufer set a pool record as he
won the 100-yard backstroke in
1:03.1. The old recoi’d was 1:04,
set in 1942.
Saturday night, lifer’s win in the
backstroke—by a hair over SMU’s
Dick Snelling—pulled the Cadets
into a 68-68 tie with Texas. Hunk-
ler’s first and Don Horne’s third
in the 100-yard freestyle put the
Aggies ahead 86-81, after Bill Bed-
foi’d and Wally Penberthy were
third and foui’th in the 200-yard
butterfly.

sion put the Whites ahead 21-20.
Big gainer was Dendy’s 66 yard
j run to the 25.
Crow recovered Taylor’s fumble
on the White 7 to set up the last
Maroon score. Kettler got to the
2, then sneaked over and Crow con
verted to make it 27-21.
The Whites took the k ickoff
right back, scoring with about two
minutes left after a 61 yard march.
Hall scored from the 6 on the same
trap play, blasting through about
six tacklers. Taylor converted for
the winning point.
