For the cost of four packs of cigarettes per month, you have a modern school system. The College Station assessments are among the lowest in the entire southeast Texas area. They are lower than those in Bryan, Huntsville, Madisonville and Caldwell. o NE VERY GOOD REASON for the proposed A & M Consol idated additions is overcrowding and too large a work-load for teachers. Sufficient room space will be available to cut class sizes to recommended standards so that more individual at tention may be given to each student. Why Centralization? Why BUILD a SCHOOL SYSTEM on one campus? That’s a question asked by many local tax payers. Here’s why cen tralization is beneficial to a community: Saves on teacher salaries, need less teachers in a on-campus system, save on maintenance, no need to duplicate equipment, Mother and Dad Club’s activities will be directed toward one place instead of being divided. What We Need % fE NEED THESE BUILDINGS and facilities: A high school which has the basic facilities for a fundamental education; an auditorium which will be used by the children of the entire twelve grades; sufficient playground space to meet minimum standards; and dressing room facilities for girls’ physical edu cation.
